　　Qingdao Doublestar Badminton Club was established in December,1996,by Doublestar Group and Qingdao Sports Office, and was registered as the first professional badminton club in China Badminton Association. Since its establishment, the club has greatly advanced with the concern and support of the leaders of the government and the Doublestar Group. At present, it has three coaches , two part-time trainers and 52 athletes in all. The club has hold the champion of the men league matches for three years in succession. In 2002, the women's team obtained to the runner-up. In 2003 and 2004, the athletes also obtained rewards for seven times. All these years, Doublestar Badminton Club has gained all kinds of rewards, bringing great honor to Qingdao.

　　The club has visited France, German, Holand and Germany, taking part in matches held there and received visit from England, German, Denmark, France and New Zealand, strengthening the international cooperation and the international fame.
